What is NZDT or Near Zero Downtime and Step to minimize the downtime for migration:

The Near Zero Downtime (NZDT) approach mean to minimize downtime for an S/4 conversion (SAP software upgrade and data migration) for systems with a very high data volume.


The following steps allow you to minimize the downtime for migration:

1. Better to Create a clone of the productive system. It will give real time error during migration and can be resolved proactively during production migration.

2. Perform migration on the clone system.

3. Re-sync the migrated clone with the productive system. The clone system becomes the new productive system.
